What is included with a hand wash station?
A hand wash station rental includes a PolyJohn Bravo two-basin unit with foot pumps, a filled 22-gallon freshwater tank, two soap dispensers, four paper towel slots stocked, and a gray water tank of 24 gallons per basin. A full tank gives about 300 hand washes; weekly service refills water and supplies on monthly rentals.
Two people can wash at once, which keeps the line short next to a food tent. The station is 62 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds full, so it moves on a hand truck to wherever the unit sits.

How many hand wash stations do I need?
Plan one hand wash station for every two porta potties at an event with food, and one station for every 20 workers on a farm or orchard under Oregon OSHA rule 437-004-1110, placed within a quarter-mile walk. Construction sites follow 29 CFR 1926.51(f), which requires washing facilities for workers handling harmful materials.
Most Bend general contractors put one station at the lunch area.
Deschutes County requires handwashing with soap and towels at any permitted outdoor mass gathering, alongside one toilet per 100 persons.
When a station is the wrong choice
A hand wash station is the wrong choice on a night below about 15°F without antifreeze, because the basin lines freeze; it is the wrong choice where a guest needs privacy to wash, where a deluxe unit works better; and it is the wrong choice for washing dishes or tools, because the tanks are sized for hands.
Questions people ask us before they book
Can I rent a hand wash station without a porta potty?
Hand wash stations rent on their own. Farm crews, food trucks at pop-ups and school field days order them alone. The delivery charge is the same flat amount.
How many washes before it runs out?
About 300 washes on a 22-gallon fill. A 150-guest reception uses roughly 200 washes over an evening, so one station lasts a party; a two-day festival needs a refill visit.
Does the water get warm?
Our Bravo stations are unheated. In a Bend summer the tank water is near air temperature; in winter it is cold but liquid with antifreeze-free fresh water as long as nights stay above the mid-teens.
A hand wash station we rented elsewhere leaked. What do you do about leaks?
Call the number on your invoice. A tech checks the drain valve and basin seals the same day in Bend. Leaks are almost always a gray tank left open at delivery; we check it before leaving.
Is the station tall enough for adults and reachable for kids?
The basin rim is about 38 inches high. Adults wash comfortably; younger children need a step stool, which we can leave with the station on request.
