What a weekend package means

A weekend package is one flat price for a unit delivered Friday and picked up Monday, or any span of up to four days during the week. The price includes delivery, pickup, a cleaned and stocked unit, and removal. A Saturday party and a Friday-to-Monday rental cost the same, because the truck makes the same two trips either way.

Three-day church events, auctions, graduation parties and yard sales all fall under this package. Add a mid-event service visit if more than 50 people will use one unit over the weekend.

What a 28-day cycle means

A 28-day cycle is four weeks of rental with four weekly service visits, billed as one line. The first cycle adds a one-time delivery-and-pickup charge ($60 in Bend). Each renewal cycle is the unit price only, so month two costs less than month one. Billing continues in 28-day blocks until you call for pickup.

A 28-day cycle is not a calendar month. If your remodel runs five weeks, you pay a second cycle; if it ends after three weeks, call for pickup and the unused days are not refunded, because the weekly service was already scheduled around your unit.

The five things that change the price

Five things set the price of a porta potty rental in Central Oregon: the delivery location, the unit type, the rental dates, the servicing schedule and the quantity. Bend addresses pay the base delivery charge, and orders of four or more units get a per-unit discount.

  1. Location. Bend addresses pay the base delivery charge. Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine and Tumalo add a short-route charge. Prineville, Madras and statewide cities are quoted by mileage from Bend.
  2. Unit type. Deluxe, ADA and trailers cost more than standard.
  3. Dates. Weekend package versus 28-day cycle; summer weekends book out first, and the price does not rise with demand.
  4. Servicing. Weekly service is included on 28-day rentals. Daily service for festivals or a mid-event visit is itemized.
  5. Quantity. Orders of four or more units get a per-unit discount on the same invoice.

Fees you will not see on our invoice

A Tony Rental Works invoice has four possible lines: unit, delivery and pickup, servicing, and extras. There is no fuel surcharge, convenience fee, card fee or sales tax. Damage beyond normal use is the only other charge, and it is photographed and itemized first.

Brokers that answer with a 1-800 number add fuel surcharges, "convenience" fees and card fees after the quote. Our invoice has four possible lines: unit, delivery and pickup, servicing, extras. Damage beyond normal use (tipped unit, graffiti, debris in the tank) is billed at the repair cost and photographed first.

Pricing questions from our calls

Is it cheaper if I pick the unit up myself?

We deliver only. Units ride on a lift-gate truck or a trailer and need the tank pumped before they move, so customer pickup is not offered.

Do you charge by the hour or by the day?

Neither. Short rentals are a flat package for up to four days; long rentals bill every 28 days. A two-hour party and a two-day party cost the same because the work is the two truck trips, not the hours.

Why is the first month more than the second?

The first 28-day cycle includes the one-time delivery-and-pickup charge. Renewals are the unit price only, so a standard unit renews at $280 with weekly service still included.

Do you give discounts for churches, schools or nonprofits?

Tax-exempt groups pay no sales tax in Oregon regardless. For schools, churches and community nonprofits ordering four or more units, ask for the multi-unit rate on the same invoice.

What forms of payment do you take?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover through the secure link on the invoice. Established contractor accounts can be invoiced net 15 after two completed rentals. No cash or checks at delivery.

Is there a deposit?

The invoice is paid in full before delivery, which reserves the unit. There is no separate deposit, and cancellations 24 business hours ahead are refunded in full.

Does the price go up in summer?

The published starting prices hold all year. In June through September units sell out on weekends, so the limit is availability, not price. Book two to three weeks ahead for summer Saturdays.
