How delivery to La Pine works

Tony Rental Works delivers to La Pine on the south route, about 35 minutes down US-97 from Bend, after the Sunriver stops. Next-morning delivery is standard. Same-day happens when the south truck is still out when you call before noon.

La Pine averages about 56 inches of snow a year with January lows near 13°F and a record low of −41°F, so antifreeze is added at every visit and units sit on pallet bases from December through March.

Keep a path plowed from the street to the unit; the loaded service truck does not climb unplowed grades.

Owner-builders and the sewer conversion

La Pine grew 52 percent between 2010 and 2020 and is building a hybrid STEG sewer with $17.7 million in USDA loans and grants to move subdivisions like Cagle and Glenwood Acres off septic, because the La Pine aquifer is vulnerable to nitrate from onsite systems.

Owner-builders on new lots and the contractors running sewer laterals both rent standard units on 28-day cycles with weekly service.

Oregon OSHA requires one toilet for up to 20 workers on a fixed site; one unit covers a typical La Pine build crew. Jobsite page.

Frontier Days and city events

La Pine Frontier Days runs July 4th weekend at Frontier Heritage Park with a parade, barbecue and vendors. Vendors and parking hosts rent units through us. Public events in the city need a Public Event Permit from Community Development, signed by the City Manager, with $2 million in insurance and the organizer responsible for cleanup.

Events using county roads must add Deschutes County as an additional insured.

Private parties on your own lot need no permit.

Questions people ask us before they book

Will a porta potty work in La Pine in January?

With antifreeze added at every weekly visit, it works. Units have run through −20°F nights there. Hand wash stations are pulled below 15°F.

Is there a delivery charge to La Pine?

A short-route charge on top of the Bend base, shown on the quote. Weekly service adds nothing.

Our well is down and the septic is being replaced. What do we need?

One standard unit for the household and one hand wash station. Keep it on a 28-day cycle until the county approves the new system.

Can you deliver to the industrial park for a crew of 30?

One standard unit meets the OSHA minimum for 30 workers; we recommend two so service day never leaves the crew without a toilet.

How far ahead for Frontier Days?

Three weeks. The July 4th weekend fills the south route.
