County rules
Multnomah County has no county-specific mass gathering ordinance that we could locate, so Oregon's statewide rules (seven toilets per 800 persons for gatherings over 3,000) apply outside the cities, and special events on county roads need a county special event permit. Gresham's own event and street closure application is due 45 days ahead.
Septic throughout the county is administered by the City of Portland under agreement with the county and DEQ.
Fair and route
Multnomah County has no county fairgrounds. The Multnomah County Fair runs Memorial Day weekend at Oaks Amusement Park in Southeast Portland. The route from Bend is US-97 north and US-26 over Mt. Hood through Government Camp, a winter chain area, or US-97 to Biggs and I-84 along the Columbia when the mountain is restricted.
Gresham's 48 inches of annual rain is the most of any city we serve.
